The town has a health- related mosquito control program to prevent mosquito- borne diseases, such as Eastern Equine Encephalitis, West Nile Virus and Zika. The program controls mosquito larvae found in shallow, stagnant waters. Water has to be present at least a week. Typical habitats include red maple swamps, woodland pools, marshes, street catch basins and flooded fields. An organic bacterium is used as a control agent. If you suspect an area to be a mosquito breeding site please contact our mosquito control contractor. Swamp, Inc. can be contacted by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please detail site location and your contact information. Michael Morrison, Entomologist
